UbiPark creating smarter cities through innnovation

March 23, 2018

Congestion and traffic issues continue to plague Australian cities as our population continues to grow and the number of cars increases. Thankfully, Cities 4.0 Summit is tackling the issues head on along with innovative businesses from around Australia. This past week, UbiPark had the opportunity of attending, presenting and showcasing the latest in parking innovation at the Cities 4.0 Summit held at the Pullman Hotel, Albert Park.

The event, designed to bring strategy, innovation & technology for smarter cities and communities, provided the ideal platform for the UbiPark brand to connect with decision makers, tasked with improving traffic and vehicle issues in Australian cities. Unsurprisingly, a lack of parking innovation continues to be a top pain-point for the majority of attendees:

UbiPark Director – Sales & Marketing, Michael Doherty, who attended, and presented at the event, commented:

“UbiPark are very proud to be a sponsor of the Cities 4.0 summit and thankful for the opportunity to engage with the thought leaders and practitioners that are enhancing the cites of tomorrow. Many of our philosophies such as; sharing in secure open-data platforms and ensuring that data ownership is handled appropriately, have been confirmed and validated at the summit.  We have enjoyed many meaningful conversations with stakeholders from around the world and look forward to continuing the parking and traffic technology conversation long after the closing comments from the chairperson.”

The UbiPark solution focused primarily on Search and Navigate. Finding your park easily through our smartphone app (current location or final destination) and then navigating to the best entry of the chosen car park.

The interest and response to UbiPark was universally positive and the team now look forward to ongoing discussions with councils from around Australia.

UbiPark look forward to supporting and presenting at upcoming Smart Cities events around Australia and helping shape the future of Australian cities and our communities.
